Spring Break in Texas

Spring Break can either be stressful or happy go lucky. It's lucky on this end because I'm blessed enough to work in the same district as my kiddos and am off when they are off! It didn't used to be this way... I worked in the corporate world for years and had to request the time off. Every year we would head to San Antonio's SeaWorld with my dad and mom, however, this year it didn't go quite that way. Since daddy's been gone, it's tough keeping the tradition without him. He was the planner, organizer, group leader and confidant. All he asked us to do was tag along for the ride and he led us to fun times. Sooo -- we weren't quite ready to jump in on the responsibilities, not because we didn't want too or aren't capable of planning a vacation, (we travel all the time), but because him not being here has had a huge impact on the kids and planning something so extravagant as that without him, is too touchy at the moment. With that being said, we are planning a vacation this summer to SeaWorld but we decided to keep spring break here in Houston. Check out our weeks activities and hopefully if you are looking for a "stay-cation", you might get some ideas from us!
