Papu's Park

They haven't been to this park since Papu last brought them in July 2013 before he found out he had Cancer. nothing stopped him from taking his grand-babies to the park. My dad enjoyed his Grand-babies and making them happy was his hobby. He knew they loved it and he wanted it to be a special memory he had with them. He always took them to this particular park. It was close to the house and they just recently remodeled it. It has a beach pool and new playground set up. He promised them when he was in the hospital in Florida that when he was better, he would bring them back. Unfortunately he didn't get to as he is no longer here to do so... and today was the perfect day to finally bring them.
Mykaila has a drawing she drew in the hospital of Papu taking them to the park. She gave it to him and he had a look on his face like if he knew he wasn't going to be able too, but he never told them that. He made a promise, because they asked him too. But he also said, "if I don't get to, mommy will know exactly when to take you." As I drove up they had no idea, until I parked. This picture says it all! I couldn't help but cry with them. We had a good "crying" moment together. At least he was able to take them here before he left for his treatments and they remember that. They have a lot of great memories and this park was and will always be special to them. Even though this was their park, we will continue to make many more memories knowing he's watching them have fun and grow in memory of him. They call it "Papu's Park!" #theywillneverforget #papusbabies #rememberingpapu
